Otago International Excellence Scholarships 2024/2025

 

Scholarship Details

  • Eligible Student: International students commencing selected postgraduate programmes at the University of Otago, studying on campus, online or by distance (subject to programme availability), in 2023.
  • Scholarship Value: NZ$10,000 for tuition fees for full-time study
  • Duration: 12 months
  • For studying beginning: Semester 1 (February) 2023 or semester 2 (July) 2023
    Note: not all programmes offer a semester 2 intake

Requirements/Eligibility for Otago International Excellence Scholarships 2024/2025

To be considered for a scholarship, students must:

  1. Be international students who are not citizens, permanent residents or resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia*; and
  2. Have met the entry requirements for an eligible programme; and
  3. Have met the award level for the scholarship; and
  4. Be subject to paying international tuition fees; and
  5. Be intending to commence full-time study in that programme in 2023.

Eligible Programme Approved

Business, Humanities and Science

Students must be applying to study a programme in one of the following eligible programme categories:

  • Masters (coursework) degrees
    Excluding the Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Masters (research) degrees
  • Postgraduate diplomas
    Excluding the Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Health (PGDipHeal)
  • Honours degrees
