VDMA Technical Training Programme at Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF)
The collaboration between the Aliko Dangote Foundation, the VDMA (Mechanical Engineering Industry Association), and its Foundation for Young Talent in Mechanical Engineering is known as the Aliko Dangote Foundation-VDMA relationship (Nachwuchsstiftung Maschinenbau gGmbH – NWS). The idea for establishing a joint vocational skills training program emerged from a shared vision of how to address Nigeria’s severe shortage of vocational skills in the manufacturing sector. For many years, both of these organizations have promoted dual track technical and vocational training and education. Furthermore, improving the Nigerian-German relationship between companies and related institutions is a critical subject of concern. The Dangote Academy’s training center offers a once-in-a-lifetime chance for institutionalized networking and experience sharing.
