To further boost Human Resource Development in the Niger Delta region, the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, is once again embarking on its Foreign Post Graduate Scholarship Programme to equip our young people with relevant training and skills for effective participation in the local content programme of the Federal Government, as well as enable them to acquire specialization in their fields of study and thus compete globally in various professional disciplines.
Application Deadline: April 19, 2026
The application portal officially opens today, March 23, 2026.
The scheme is for suitably qualified applicants, with relevant Bachelor’s Degrees from recognized Universities in the following:
Eligible Professional Disciplines
- Agricultural Sciences / Biotechnology
- Engineering
- Environmental Sciences
- Geosciences
- Information Technology / Artificial Intelligence
- Medical Sciences
- Architecture / Building Technology
- Law
Eligibility Criteria for NDDC Scholarship
Prospective candidates must satisfy the following requirements: Science
Origin: Must hail from the Niger Delta Region.
Academic Standing: Minimum of a First Class Degree or Second Class Upper Division.
Age: Must not be over 40 years of age.
Required Documentation
Ensure you have scanned copies of these documents ready for your online application:
- Recent passport photograph.
- Local Government Identification Letter.
- Post-Graduate Admission letter from a recognized overseas university.
- Relevant degrees from recognized universities.
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
How to Apply for NDDC Scholarship 2026
- Initial Application: Submit online via https://www.nddc.gov.ng.
- Preliminary Shortlisting: Based on WASSCE/NECO results and degree classification.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): Conducted in Rivers State; a minimum score of 70% is required.
- Final Verification: Conducted through Local Government Area (LGA) and CDC committees.
