Understanding How Ncee works and its importance

NCEE (National Common Entrance Examination), organized by NECO serves as an intermediary between the children (students) and the schools (Federal Unity Schools). It works same as JAMB in admission processes. They conduct the entrance examination then send the names of the qualified ones to their respective schools according to their performances or scores. As far as you are qualified either through National Merit or School quota, your name will be sent to those schools. It is now the duty of the school to select the number of students they want according to their performances then shortlist for admission.

If your son or daughter is admitted into any of the Federal Unity Secondary Schools, you will be notified mainly via SMS reading that your son or daughter (name) is admitted into JS1 of Queens College for instance, for 2022/2023 academic session. It is now left for you to go to the school for other admission processes. Though some schools may not send you message, it happens, we advise you visit the school often to confirm if they have released names of qualified candidates for admission to enable you check your ward’s name. Mostly they do paste it on their school notice board.

If your son or daughter is admitted, mostly, the school that admits him or her may send SMS to the number you used during registration. Also, you may visit the two schools to confirm.
