Job Title: Senior Line Maintenance Engineer (B2)
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Onsite)
Experience Level: Advanced
Job Role
- Perform daily inspection and all required checks prior to release of aircraft to service
- Meticulously Carry out all assigned routine maintenance tasks as stipulated in work instructions issued by Green Africa Engineering and CAMO unit within allowed time frame
- Ensure compliance with Green Africa’s procedures/control manuals and applicable regulations (e.g., Nig. CARs) in all maintenance activities
- Reporting defects and deficiencies of facilities, tools, and equipment in accordance with Green Africa’s procedures, control manuals and NCAA regulations
- Maintain workplace cleanliness
- Place order for supplies, parts, tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance activities (especially unscheduled tasks)
- Promote safety within the workplace
- Ensure proper recording of work performed, part changes etc in accordance with Green Africa’s procedures and in compliance with NCAA regulations
- Ensure that all tools, equipment, and materials collected for the accomplishment of tasks are duly accounted for after completion of work but prior to release of aircraft for flight
- Report, trouble shoot and rectify aircraft and aircraft component defect and deficiencies in accordance with Green Africa’s procedures, manufacturer’s manuals, and NCAA regulations
Qualifications
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license with airframe and powerplant ratings or Avionics rating/ EASA or FAA license holder with Validation certificate from NCAA
- Five (5) years relevant experience in maintaining ATR 72- 600
- Served as a certifying engineer for at least three (3) years on type
- Trained on ATR 72- 600 engine run up with at least 2 years of experience
- Possess a good knowledge of NCAA regulations
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance planning, along with management oversight of inspections, repairs, and modifications
- Possess a good knowledge of the inter-relationship between various departments in an airline
- Good communication skills and must be computer literate
- Use of a maintenance software is an added advantage.
- Have a good knowledge of maintenance contracts, manufacturer’s manuals (AIPC, MMEL and MEL, FIM, SRM etc) and their usage
- Excellent knowledge of aircraft systems
- Excellent defect trouble shooting and rectification skills.
