Certainly after your stay in the NYSC Camp for three weeks, you will be posted to your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA). Some could be posted to schools, companies, hospitals, Government house. If you are lucky, you could be posted to a place where you would still be paid apart from your normal allawee.
What is NYSC PPA?
The NYSC Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) is a place where you perform the duty of serving your father land. This comes three (3) weeks after your stay in camp. It is compulsory as you need a place to work and show contribution during your service year. This reveals the reason the authority of your PPA will have to rate you when are done serving at their facility.
Is It My Responsibility To Sort For PPA Myself?
No, you will be assigned a Place of Assignment (PPA) at the end of your three weeks period in the orientation camp.
What Are The Possible Places Of Primary Assignment (PPA) In The NYSC Scheme?

You may be posted to schools (Primary, Secondary, Colleges of Education, Polytechnics, Universities), Hospitals, Clinics, Government ministries and Parastatals, Private companies/firms excluding oil companies, Shipping companies and Banks (on special cases).
Why Would A PPA Reject Me?
A place of Primary Assignment (PPA) can reject you for many reasons. However, the most common reasons are lack of accommodation, lack of space, too many corps members, lack of facilities, not having enough money to pay and so on.
What is the benefit of getting rejected?
Whilst this may sound negative, if has some positivity hidden in it. If you are rejected from your PPA, you have the privilege of looking out for a more conducive PPA by yourself. Rejecting will make room for you to find a suitable place for yourself.
Can I change PPA after been accepted and even started working?
Yes, you can. However, it’s not always as easy as when you have not been accepted at all. Thus will require your presentation of a genuine and important reason/excuse to NYSC to be able to change this.
Can I be rejected after I am accepted at a PPA?
It is possible to be rejected after being accepted at the place of primary assignment. However, the Authority at the PPA will have to write to NYSC by himself. It is not your concern. This is actually a rare happening.
Can I change to a new Local Government entirely?
Yes, you can but it is a strenuous process. You may have to report at your present local government, after they have given you permission, then you will open a file at the new local government. However, it’s easier said than done.
Do I have any rights at my PPA?
Yes, you do have rights. Your posting letter from NYSC camp states that you are to be addressed as a staff at your PPA. It’s an Entitlement. Hence, you have all the rights of a staff present at the facility.
What if my PPA refuses to reject me after staying with them for some time?
If PPA refuses to reject you, you’ll have to kindly; write a “change of PPA letter” to NYSC. If nothing is done about it, consistently write and complain to them. Don’t give up on expressing your need for a change. Keep a it until you’re responded to.
If I am maltreated badly at my PPA, what can i do?
There are two things required of you to do. You can either stand and fight for yourself or report the case to your LI or LGI. If it is critical, you can call the state coordinator into it. But it’s advisable to go through your LI and expect the situation to be fixed immediately.
Can I continue working at my PPA after NYSC service?
Yes, it is very much possible. Some facilities retain corp members making them staffs is they’re impressed with their Outputs. mAlso, you can apply to continue working with them if you so desire. Do this by simply writing an application letter to your PPA authorities when you are through.
