We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Student Advisor
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Description
- We are looking for proactive Student Advisors who will provide students with information and advice about educational issues or career planning.
- You may also provide counselling services to parents, teachers, faculty and staff of educational institutions.
- You will help students achieve their educational goals by working closely with them to select courses, identify strengths, choose a major, and act as a resource until the student graduates.
- They will communicate regularly with students, and maintain records of their performance.
- To ensure success, the ideal candidates will be caring, organized, communicative, and accessible.
Responsibilities
- Discussing career and educational goals with students.
- Identifying student strengths and weaknesses.
- Maintaining updated reports on student progress.
- Aiding in the course selection process to ensure progress towards student goals.
- Displaying an interest in student development.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communication, Sales or any related field.
- 2-3 years of advising experience.
Skills & Requirements:
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Be empathetic, non-judgmental, and have a positive attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Goal-orientated and deadline-driven.
