- Fill out the online entry form (DS-5501) on the official website

- Provide a recent passport-style photograph
- Image should be: 2×2 inches (5x5cm) in size
- Colour with a white background facing forward with a neutral expression
- Save photo in JPEG format

- Check entry status online through the Entrant Status Check (ESC) website
- Enter confirmation number and last name
- View entry status: ‘Selected,’ ‘Not Selected,’ or ‘Pending.’
