Overview of Kenya National Innovation Agency
The Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Act, No. 28 of 2013, established the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA), a State Corporation under the Ministry of Education.
The Agency’s primary responsibility is to create and oversee the National Innovation System. The National Innovation System must therefore be coordinated, promoted, and regulated by the Agency.
KeNIA collaborates with partners to strengthen interrelationships between actors in order to encourage innovation and business growth based on study and ideas. From assisting with the recognition, documentation, and preservation of creative ideas to organizing the creation and application of suitable standards, procedures, infrastructure, and partnerships to promote the development of the innovative ideas.

Principal, Human Resource Management Officer

- Have served for a minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the level of Senior Officer;
- Have Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:- Human Resource Management, Public Administration or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Have Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business/Public Administration from a recognized Institution;
- Have Certificate in Management Course from a recognized institution;
- Membership to a relevant professional body;
- Be proficient in computer applications;
- Have demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance; and
- Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
Senior Administration Officer
Those applying for Senior Administrative Officer, must:
- Have minimum period of five (5) years relevant work experience.
- Have bachelor’s degree in social science or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Have Certificate in Management Course from a recognized institution;
- Be proficient in computer applications;
- Membership to a relevant professional body;
- Demonstrated merit and ability in work performance.
- Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
Internal Auditor
Persons interested in the position of an internal auditor should:
- Have Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Commerce (Accounting/Finance option), Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution or;
- Have Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Kenya Part III or Certified Internal Auditors (CIA) Part IV from a recognized institution;
- Registered member of any of the following professional bodies:- Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA);
- Be proficient in computer applications; and
- Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010
