See more details National Population Commission (NPC), in collaboration with UNICEF, is embarking on a monumental task of registering 12.7 million births in Nigeria. This digital birth registration initiative aims to provide official recognition and nationality to children under the age of 5. The program covers 21 states, including 456 LGAs and 4,978 wards across the country.

How to check NPC List of Shortlisted Candidates for Birth Registration

To check if you have been shortlisted, follow the steps and Guidelines provided below:

1. Go to the NPC list of shortlisted candidates for Birth Registration Below
2. Click on your state link: Look for the link corresponding to your state on the website. The list is being uploaded gradually, so if your state’s list is not available yet, make sure to check back later.
3. Check for your name: Once you click on the link for your state, you will be directed to the list of shortlisted candidates. Carefully go through the list and search for your name. If you find your name, congratulations! You have been shortlisted for the NPC Birth Registration program.
