The University of Sydney offers a postgraduate research scholarship in 2023 and has its application portal open to enable interested and qualified applicant further their education career. A $37,207 per annum stipend scholarship for a research student within the School of Chemistry to conduct research into DNA nanotechnology and nanofabrication.

The Scholarship will provide a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend rate (indexed on 1 January each year), subject to satisfactory academic performance. This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a research student where focus of their research is on using DNA nanotechnology to develop new reconfigurable nanostructures with tunable optical and magnetic properties.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship program, applicants must:

Be willing to conduct research into DNA nanotechnology and nanofabrication. Hold at least an Honours degree (First Class or Second Class Upper) or Master’s degree with a substantial research component or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Have a background in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, or biomedical engineering. Have applied for the Research Training Program. Be willing to undertake any security checks, clearance, es or accreditation if required by the Commonwealth of Australia Department of Defence.
