Job Title: Purchasing Manager, Cement Plant
Location: Nigeria
Contractual hours: Full time
Department: Operations
Brief Summary About the Job
- We are seeking experienced Purchasing Managers to handle our company’s procurement activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
- Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
- Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system
- Managing the maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
Requirements for Dangote Group Recruitment
The general prerequisites for Dangote recruitment form are listed below:
- Supervisory and management experience.
- Experience with SAP will be an added advantage.
- Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Competence in report writing and presentation.
- Minimum of 18 years cognate experience in manufacturing environment
- Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
