EFCC is inviting the general public, especially students of secondary and tertiary institutions to apply by sending entrees in the 2nd edition of EFCC Essay competition commencing on Thursday, August 8 2024.
The winner of category A, will win N800,000 while the winner of category B, will win N700,000.

Categories:
a. Tertiary Category:
Topic: Using Technology for Social Good: How Digital Skills Can Be Leveraged to Promote Transparency in Governance.
Participant’s in the tertiary category shall be accessed and judged based on originality of about 1, 500 words and their logical presentation of facts in the ways technological skills can be used to address social and environmental issues such as Developing App for healthcare or education, analysing data for social justice causes, of creating digital tools for environmental sustainability.

b.. Secondary Category:
Topic: Exploring Alternatives to Cybercrimes for Sustainable Development
Participants in the secondary category shall be accessed and judged based on the originality of about 1, 000 words, clarity and aptness of the proffered alternative to cybercrimes and how young people can channel their energy and creativity into positive online pursuits, such as digital art, music, writing, or entrepreneurship.
Conditions:
i. About 1, 600 words for tertiary category and 1, 000 for secondary category
ii. Double Spacing
iii. Font 14 (Century Gothic)

Entries:
Submissions to start from Thursday, August 8 2024 to Monday, September 9 2024. Winners shall be invited during the Cybercrime Summit tentatively scheduled for October 2024,.
Procedures: Six winners in Nigeria, three each from secondary and tertiary category shall be invited to Abuja for the presentation of the award.
Prizes:
Tertiary Category: Winner N800,000, Second runner up N500,000, Third runners up: N300,000.
Secondary Category: Winner N700,000, First runner up: N400,000, Second runner up: N300,000
Note: All AI assisted entries will be disqualified and Children and wards of EFCC personnel are not eligible to apply.
