NYSC Correction of Name Application: Spelling Errors, Rearrangement, Addition & Removal of Name on Dashboard – One of the Issues bothering lots of Prospective Corp Members is the Issue of Error or Inconsistency in Names. This becomes an issue when they feel there isn’t any option in correcting such errors. But worry no more, you can correct these errors legitimately.

The Errors are usually possible either during Jamb Registration, Regularization and even NYSC Mobilization.
It is very important to correct the errors to ensure synchronization in information with all your other documents or credentials.
When can one apply for change of Name on NYSC portal?
The Change of name can be done after the Online Registration.
Procedures for Change of Name?
All Prospective Corp Members can request for Correction of Name on their dashboard by:
- Login to your NYSC Dashboard via the official website.
- Correctly type in your Email address (used for NYSC online registration) and password
- Apply for Correction of Name by clicking on “Apply for Change of Name” link.
This procedure as illustrated above is applicable to NYSC Batch A, B and C, Stream 1 and Stream 2 PCMs.
The Name Corrections Available on the Available on the NYSC Dashboard are:
- Spelling Error of Name
Priscillia rather than Priscilla
Celina rather than Selina
- Rearrangement of Name
This is for those whose name arrangement is wrong.
For instance, instead of Paul Peter Ann, it’s displaying Peter Ann Paul
- Addition of Name
This can be used if maybe you are using three names but only two names are showing.
Example: Paul Peters rather than Paul Peters Ann
You’ll need to correct so that it will reflect on your NYSC certificate or exemption letter.
- Removal of Name
This is used when you are using two names but three or more names are used for you.
What should you do after applying for Change of Name or Name Correction via your Dashboard?
You’ll have to wait patiently.
Kindly note that your Students Affair Officer, will see the request for Addition and Removal of Name, process and forward to NYSC for further necessary action.
You will not be registered in camp, if there is disparity in the name uploaded online, that appears on your dashboard and that of your Statement of Result.
Correction is also very necessary to avoid errors on your Certificate of National Service
